
Annabelle Couture-Guillet
Law student
Annabelle is completing her fourth year of law at McGill and is interested in law as a tool for accountability, particularly in the areas of climate justice, access to information and the fight against sexual and gender-based violence. She joined the Lapointe Légal team in 2023 and provides support to the lawyers in their administrative and legal research tasks.
She completed an internship at the clinic of the Centre québécois du droit de l’environnement and worked as a research assistant on various teams, including the Canada Research Chair in Human Rights, Health, and the Environment. More recently, she worked as a teaching assistant for the Climate Crisis and Action course at McGill University. She currently volunteers with the Clinique juridique itinérante.
Prior to studying law, she completed a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and geography at McGill University, and worked for several years in school retention and outdoor education programs for young people from various backgrounds.
