Marika is interested in human rights and freedoms, particularly issues related to discrimination, exploitation, and access to justice.
 

Her experience working with organizations dedicated to defending rights, including her Bar internship at the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse, has allowed her to deepen her understanding of the realities faced by individuals and communities affected by inequality, marginalization, and exclusion. This experience has shaped her practice, which she carries out with compassion and dedication.
 

At the same time, Marika is pursuing a master’s degree in law at the Université du Québec à Montréal, with a thesis focusing on racial profiling within the criminal justice system.
