Maryse specializes in litigation, civil law and human rights. She particularly engages in cases related to abuse, seniors’ rights and all aspects of human rights. In her early career, she worked out of a small Montréal firm before she decided to pour her energy into building a practice in her own image. Determined and always keen on offering an understanding ear, she is renowned for her professionalism and great empathy.
Maryse puts her talent and skills to work for a number of causes close to her heart. She currently presides over the board of directors of Face aux vents, an organization that promotes the benefits of the outdoors on mental health. She was also appointed administrator and chair of the ethics and governance committee for the Société québécoise pour la déficience intellectuelle (SQDI). She has also been involved as a volunteer lawyer with several legal clinics in Montréal. This fall 2023, you’ll find Maryse continuing in this vein as a supervising lawyer and mentor to future lawyers at the Quebec Bar School’s legal clinic.
Maryse holds a Bachelor of Laws from Université du Québec à Montréal, and she was awarded the 2013–2014 Prix du Barreau du Québec in the legal clinic category.
